Lete-Lage -Leke
Teamwork with Hans Leo Haraldsen and Mona Simers Mehus
Industry and graphic design - Teamwork - 4 weeks - School project 2023
Task
Make a toy for increased joy and activity out in nature, for children of preschool age
Result:
Lete-lage-leke (explore-make-play) is a stackable collection box with engravings that provide suggestions for natural discoveries. In the handle there is a secret compartment that is revealed when the floors are removed, with "making cards" illustrating insects that the children can build from assembled objects. The game can also be used for free play with the figures that are created, or customize the collection box as desired.
What I have learned:
This project combined both graphic design and product design. I worked on logo design, colors, typography, and illustrations, while also using the laser cutter to create a collection box. It was essential to thoroughly test the product, as we were designing for a target group different from ourselves. Although the main focus was on product design, we also worked extensively on how the toy would be experienced as a service and how it could be used in multiple ways.
